Fotis Katsikaris (phto left) and his team continue to provide the biggest upsets in the Spanish ACB playoffs. After eliminating Valencia, Bilbao beat Real Madrid on the road to tie the series 1-1 in the semi-finals. The Basque team was in charge of the match right from the start and despite Real Madrid's comeback at the end, Fotis Katsikaris' players hold on to a valuable victory in Madrid.
For the winners, Kostas Vasileiadis was on great form, scoring 11 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists in 16 minutes, whereas Dimitris Mavroeidis gave many battles in the paint, finishing the match with 6 points, 4 rebounds and good defence as usual. This victory means that Bilbao who now has two matches in a row at home, has the chance - should they win both of them - to qualify for the first time in their history to the play-off finals. Nonetheless, a great season for the FCM coach and players in Bilbao so far and it looks like they are hungry for more.
