papaloukas-olyA legend joins a legend! FCM is happy to announce the signing of two-time Euorleague winner Theo Papaloukas to Maccabi Tel-Aviv! The FCM player agreed terms with Israeli champions and after spending three years with Olympiakos, he is again leaving Greece for another legend of the European basketball. Papaloukas spent earlier in his career 6 years with CSKA Moscow, leading the Russian club into 10 titles, among them 2 Euroleague trophies, himself being the MVP in the 2006 Final Four in Prague. The 34-year old player is expected in the next few days in Tel-Aviv, where the Euorleague runner-up shall begin its preparation for the upcoming season.

Obviously Papaloukas was excited: "I am very happy to play for Maccabi Tel Aviv. I feel that i can still contribute a lot and i want to thank coach Blatt and the administration of the club for the confidence they showed to me from the beginning of the negotiations. My goal was to stay at the highest level and i believe that Maccabi has the history, the name and the roster to give me this ability. I will do whatever i can to help the team achieve its goals. After my career in Olympiakos and CSKA all i wanted was to continue doing what i love in an equally big club".
